Lakeland, Florida – December 10, 2024 – The Lakeland Runners Club, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives through running and fitness announces the distribution of over $41,000 in grants to a diverse group of nonprofit organizations and schools that support running and fitness activities in Lakeland and throughout Polk County.

The following organizations were selected to receive funding in 2024:

  • • Carol Jenkins Barnett Endowment for Bonnet Springs Park
  • • Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art
  • • Road Runners Club of America Kids Run the Nation Program
  • • Polk Education Foundation Scholarship Fund
    • George Jenkins Cross Country and Track & Field Programs
  • • Haines City Cross Country Program
  • • Davenport High School Cross Country and Track & Field Programs
  • • Winter Haven High School Track & Field Program
  • • Perseverance Track & Field Club
  • • Frostproof Middle Senior High School Cross Country Program
  • • St. Paul Lutheran School Run Club
