A sponsorship with the Lakeland Runners Club is more than just a great promotional opportunity— it is an excellent way to be a participant in a community project to promote health and wellness through running and/or walking.

The Lakeland Runners Club is a 100% volunteer-staffed nonprofit and has proudly held events in Lakeland since 1974.  Sponsorships enable us to put on our races, and give back to the community and grow our community outreach programs with new runners, elementary and middle school students, and provide weekly group runs for the community and fellowship and educational opportunities for our members.   

Our mission shows up in meaningful, long‑term impact. Since 2011, the club has awarded more than $133,000 in scholarships to local students. Our support for organizations like the YMCA and the AGB Museum of Art goes back decades. Since Bonnet Springs Park opened 2022, LRC has contributed $80,000 to help strengthen and grow this incredible community space. And our youth running grant program — launched in 2024 — has already invested $26,000 in local teams and programs.  Our commitment to quality programming is strengthened by our membership in the Road Runners Club of America, the nation’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to distance running. The RRCA’s coaching education, safety standards, and race‑management resources help us deliver inclusive, well‑designed programs for runners of all experience levels. In 2026, we were honored that the RRCA selected the 50th Lake to Lake 10k as the RRCA National 10k Championship — a celebration of both our history and our dedication to excellence.

The LRC is a subordinate member of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). Through the RRCA, we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
