2021 5K for Parkinson’s Research

I am excited to be walking Lake Hollingsworth on Friday, May 7th at 5pm, starting at the boat ramp. This will be a 5k for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF).

Recently doctors informed me that I am showing the beginning signs of developing Parkinson’s Disease. My mother also had PD. I am only 38 but am lucky enough to be raising two beautiful sons and my multiple fur babies. I dedicated my career to helping nonprofits in my work as a grant writer and have loved every moment of it.

Beginning on the uncertain path with PD ahead of me, I am maintaining a positive outlook and vigilance and vitality towards my family and career just as I always have.
