2024 CROP Hunger Walk

This is the 40th Lakeland CROP Hunger Walk. Although it is a walk, we welcome runners and have a few “walkers” that run. I envision the runners doing a fun run around Lake Hollingsworth. The Lakeland CROP Hunger Walk is outreach and event sponsored by Church World Service, who hosts over a thousand walks each year in the US, raising $7 million annually. Its purpose is to raise funds and awareness of the need for relief of hungry, thirsty, displaced, shelterless, and other needy people in our community and the greater world. The event is attended by various congregations and other organizations.

The beneficiaries are Talbot House, Lighthouse Ministries, and Church World Service’s world-wide relief organization.
