LCMA’s Knights on the Run is a professionally organized and timed 5K event sponsored by LCMA PTSO.

The Event will be held on February 22nd in front of the First Presbyterian Church and run on the path around Lake Hollingsworth. Participants will receive a shirt (Shirt sizes are guaranteed if pre-registered before January 31, 2025.) and a custom bib. Plus a finisher medal once they cross the finish line. Awards: Overall Male and Female and 3 deep in the standard 5 year age groups: (9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+)

Polk State College’s Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant programs will host the second annual Warriors for Wellness 5K on Saturday, March 8, 2025, on the Winter Haven Campus.

Polk Senior Games is a non-profit organization that presents an annual two-week series of Olympic-style sports and games for men and women 50 years of age and over. The Games inspire an active lifestyle, combine an interest in sports and games with fun and fellowship, promote a positive image of seniors and recognize their efforts and achievements, and encourage volunteerism. Polk Senior Games begins on Saturday February 22 and ends on Saturday March 8. Registration begins January 1 and ends February 8.

Competition, held at various locations throughout Polk County, is offered in Road Race 5K, Track, and Walking. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded in each event and age division. $12 for first event; $5 for each additional event up to a maximum $35. Some events have extra facility fees.

Join us to run/walk the beautiful course around Lake Hunter! The FCA Lead The Way 5K will benefit students who are participating in the FCA Emerging Leader Experience. These students meet monthly to receive world-class Biblical leadership training that culminates in a four- day intensive with Student Leadership University.

Your participation in this race will help these students reach their funding goals. Join us as we push back against poverty of vision, spirit, and opportunity in the lives of the next generation! The course will have a wide start line that measures over 300 feet with course changes in elevation and partially covered and well-paved sidewalks and roads.

Police will be present to ensure safe crossings when indicated on race map. Participants will receive a race packet, a shirt and finisher medal once they cross the finish line. Awards: Male and Female: Overall, Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+) & 3 deep in the standard 5 year age groups: (9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+)

Join us at Bonnet Springs Park on Saturday, March 29 for a sunrise 5k that showcases the natural beauty of towering oak trees and the rolling terrain of Florida’s Best Free Natural Attraction. Bonnet Springs is a beautiful blend of urban amenities in a natural setting. Race with us and then stay to explore all there is to offer in the 168-acre park.

A quarter-mile kids fun run will be held following the 5k. All kids fun run participants need to be onsite by 8:30 AM.

Walkers are welcome at this event. The Bonnet Springs Park 5k is held on a USATF-certified course (FL23012JK). The race is chip-timed.

Thank you to Valiant Products for their generous support; a donation from the 5k will benefit the Carol Jenkins Barnett Endowment at Bonnet Springs Park.

This event is limited to 1,000 participants.

Road race at Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) during the 51st annual SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo on Saturday, April 5th at 7am. New and improved race route will be announced soon!

Race the ORIGINAL and ONLY 15K in Brevard County! The Space Coast Classic 15K is 9.3 miles of fun racing brought to you by Space Coast Runners. It makes a great training run for Spring or Summer half marathons and marathons. Over the years the 15K has run in Melbourne Beach, Indian Harbour Beach, Melbourne, and Viera with great success and now in Cocoa, FL.

The 5k course that hits a few different trails than the longer races! (limited to 50 runners)

Both courses are challenging! With rolling hills that twist and turn through an old abandon phosphate mine area. You will run down sand & dirt trails that have been crafted over the years to become the awesome Carter rd Moutain bike trails! We love to run these wild and fun trails and want to bring a race to other runners to enjoy! This is a great run to challenge yourself!
Some areas will challenge even the best runners to break 10min pace. It’s a very fun course while also being very tough in the same breath. This is not an easy course!!!!!
I must stress…this is about as hard as it gets in Florida!

Limited to 150 runners for the 10/30/50k & 50 runners for 5k
Awards: Top 3 Overall M/F & 1st masters M/F
Everyone finisher will receive socks, finisher sticker & award

This will be the Funest 50k you will run, walk or crawl in Florida! (refer to definition of Funest in photos)

Again…This is a FUN but TOUGH course! You should carry a charged phone with you in case of injuries or you have a hard time following a clearly marked path with over 600 markers!

**$10 of each registration goes back to Polk Co Parks & Rec to help maintain the park!

At the start/finish area we will have Quesadillas (cheese/bacon/potato), Hot Dogs, Hamburgers!
For those in the 30k or 50k we will have chicken after 10:30am!
After 11:30am we will have Pulled Pork and/or Brisket!

Course

The course is a 10k loop / 3 loops for the 30k / 5 for the 50k
There is also a 5k course starting at the same location and splitting off at .25 into the 10k loop
Both courses are on the mountain bike trails of Loyce E Harpe Park
10 hour cut off = 19:20 pace
Electrolytes, soda and water at the start area and an aid station around the 3.5 mile point.

The Judd Jog is an annual 5k presented by Polk Sheriff’s Charities, Inc. with all proceeds benefiting the United Way. The course is paved and begins and ends at the front of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office main office in Winter Haven. There will be additional activities available for your family and friends during the event, including Polk County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations vehicles on display and a K-9 meet and greet. Also, registrants will be entered to win Raffle Prizes. (See the Judd Jog FaceBook page for more details) and more! T-Shirts are guaranteed if registered by April 1, 2025. Restrooms will be available for public use during the event. The Judd Jog is a shining example of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of our community coming together to make a positive impact in the lives of others. The Pensacola Fiesta 10k & 5k, a Pensacola Runners Association Event, is the premier heritage road race in Northwest Florida and the perfect way to close out your Spring racing season. The event features fast and beautiful 10k and 5k races winding through the heart of Pensacola!

Celebrate 46 years of the Mayfaire 5k Road Race and Walk with an evening run or walk on residential streets from downtown Lakeland through the historic Lake Morton district. This event is held in conjunction with the Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College’s annual Mayfaire by-the-lake art festival and the event shirt showcases the work of the festival’s featured artist.

Walkers are welcome at this event. The Mayfaire 5k is held on a USATF-certified course (FL22015JK). The race is chip-timed.

The first Mayfaire 5k was held May 5, 1980.

The Summer Sunrise Watermelon Race Series was born out of a desire to have low-cost local races during the hot summer months when it can be hard to stay motivated. The series has become an established venue for competition and an annual celebration of fitness. It continues to be popular with both experienced and casual runners alike. Many of the local high school cross country teams use it as a tune-up for their season. The series is comprised of three 5K (3.1 mile) races, each race hotter than the last.  All are run around Lake Hollingsworth, which is flat and conducive to fast times.

The Summer Watermelon 5k is run on a certified course. All races are chip timed.  Cumulative results from the three races are used to determine official results.

The first series was run in 1996.

The TICK TOCK ULTRA is your 12-hour and 6-hour lake-lapping challenge. You will start at 7:00 a.m. traveling along a paved walkway that frames beautiful Lake Hollingsworth as you challenge yourself to log as many 2.84-mile laps as possible before the race concludes.

HOT GRILLED FOOD @ The Runners Village! Starting with pancakes then hotdogs & hamburgers then quesadilla’s and smoked/grilled chicken! Starting about 3pm is smoked Pork Butt and Brisket! Also all the normal treats you’d see at any Ultra, soda/pop, pickles, snack bars etc!

Want to Try It as a Team? — Register for the TickTock Ultra RELAY! For those who want the challenge and experience of participating in an 12-hour ultra marathon event, but don’t want to log the miles alone, the Tick Tock Ultra Relay allows teams of 3 to 5 to log as many laps as they can as a TEAM. One runner per team is allowed on the course at a time. Teams compete to see how many laps they can log cumulatively in 12 hours. Each member of teams completing at least 10 laps receives a Tick Tock Ultra Award. Each member of the overall winning team and 2nd place team ALSO wins a trophy. RELAY IS LIMITED TO 20 TEAMS ONLY

AWARDS:
Top 3 of the 6 & 12 Hour races male & female will receive Overall Awards
The next over 40 male & female runners will receive the Master awards
Each runner or relay team finishing 10 laps will receive finisher awards

The 10k is the oldest annual race in Polk County and runs through the Lakeland chain of lakes and historic Lake Morton district, encompassing three lakes during the course. The Lake to Lake 10k is run on a certified course (FL19044TY).  The race will be chip timed.

The Lake to Lake 10k was founded in 1977.

Running Zone Foundation and Space Coast Runners welcome you to the 54th running of the Space Coast Marathon & Half Marathon – Florida’s oldest marathon. We invite runners and walkers alike to experience one of the most beautiful USATF certified waterfront courses on the east coast of Florida.
