Who are our heroes?

The annual CHS Heroes 5K honors the heroes in our community, those who work at and tirelessly alongside the Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) to make a better community for our children.

Children remain at the heart of all we do.
For over 90 years, CHS has provided solutions for thousands of children and families in the Greater Lakeland (Polk, Highland, Hardee and Marion counties) Region. CHS leads the way in developing and delivering solutions that drastically change life trajectories for children and families.

We are the driver of child well-being, serving more than 2,600 children and family members in your community annually through child welfare, early childhood education, behavioral health and community solutions. Locally, kids, teens and parents find critical support through CHS’ counseling, foster care and adoption services as well as mentoring.
