There are great group runs every week. They all are good for runners of any pace and experience. These are hosted by different groups. Most have Facebook pages. You don't have to be a member to run any of these, but we encourage you to join. It's a great running community and we help each other get better and faster -- and have fun doing it.

LRC Track Workout

Mondays at 6:00 p.m.
Lakeland High School Track

Join us every Monday night at the Lakeland  High School track for a group speed workout starting at 6:00 m. The workouts will vary from week to week but the fun and hard work are a constant. FITniche's Tuesday Night Pub Run takes place every Tuesday at 6 pm. The 5K course allows for running or walking at your own pace. After the exercise, join in for food, drinks, and fellowship. If it's your first time, come a few minutes early ensuring your ability to sign the waiver before the run starts. LRC Hill Workouts
Hill Run
Thursdays at 6 pm
Florida Southern College

Join us on Thursday nights at 6pm on Johnson Ave. next to Florida Southern for our hill repeat workout. There are a total of 10 hills if you do them all (7.3 miles) but you can do as many as you like and return to Johnson Avenue at any point. Water and Gatorade will be available and be sure to wear bright visible clothing as we will be running the hill repeats on the roads. For more information on these workouts, contact Dave Quarles.

Mitchell's Coffee House Run

Routes of 6, 9, and 13+ miles. Runners get free water and coffee. And all Saturday morning runners receive 20% off the cost of their breakfast too. This is a great way to get in your weekly long run.

LRC Pack Workouts
Interval and Tempo workouts
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 am
First Presbyterian Church
175 Lake Hollingsworth Dr., Lakeland, FL 33801

The Pack meets at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Tuesdays are tempo runs with a 1 mile warm-up, 3 to 4 miles at tempo pace and 1 mile cool-down. Thursday’s workouts are intervals of various distances. There are about 20 interval workouts the group rotates through. Fall/Winter workouts are geared toward marathon and half marathon distances. Spring/Summer intervals are planned with 5K’s in mind. Workouts are usually about 6 miles total and last about 1 hour. See LRC Facebook for each week’s specific workouts.
